BYD Battery technology: HVM 11.0 kWh 4 Battery stack with BCU

The BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM batteries are modular Cobalt Free high voltage lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs for use with an external inverter. The BYD Battery technology range is built up using the control unit and base then adding multiple Batteries to the system. These are capable of High-powered Emergency-Backup and Off-Grid functionality, with a High-Voltage Series Connection.

One Battery-Box Premium HVM is composed of 3 to 8 HVM battery modules that are connected in series to achieve a
usable capacity of 8.3 to 22.1 kWh. Additionally, direct parallel connection of up to 3 identical Battery-Box Premium HVM allows a maximum capacity of
66.2 kWh gives ability to scale by adding HVM modules or parallel HVM stacks later.

This Battery-Box Premium HVM is composed of 4 HVM battery modules that are connected in series to achieve a usable capacity of 11.04 kWh. These batteries feature feature Self-Consumption Optimization for Residential and Commercial Applications.

The Modular Plug Design Requires no Internal Wiring and these are compatible with Leading 1 and 3 Phase High Voltage Battery Inverters. They are rated to the Highest Safety Standards like VDE 2510-50. Please see the spec sheet for further technical information.

We have opened the BYD boxes in order to set these up with one of our inverters to demo and familiarise ourselves with the BYD Battery technology Be Connect 2 apps. However they have not been cycled and come with full warranty.

When combined with an inverter the BYD Battery-Box Premium can deliver high charging and discharging powers, meaning that the energy produced by your own PV system can be optimally used and stored, ensuring an increased rate of self-consumption, but also greater independence from the public grid.
